ANNOUNCEMENT: Game Room Games List - Have/Want

Sorry I put this off for so long! We were hoping to have an online application to handle all of this this year so I didn't have to keep lists by hand this year, but alas, it's not working and we're running out of time!

So here's the deal: We need games, TV's, and systems for the game room!

I'm going to post a list of what I think we WANT (mostly culled from what was popular last year). I'll move whatever is donated to the HAVE list.

Then I want YOU GUYS to tell me three things
1) What games from the WANT list you have (see below for requirements for this)
2) If there are any games that aren't on the WANT or HAVE list that you think should be there post it in this thread or, if you have it, Email gaming@naka-kon.com and donate it!
(NOTE: If you have imported Japanese games, we do have PS2s capable of playing them, so don't shy away from donating those too!)
3) What other equipment you have (TVs, Systems, Accessories, number of controllers etc....)

What I DO NOT WANT!!!
1) A list of every game you have - There's simply a lot that aren't suitable for cons. For example, any RPG. We tried having a console loaded with FF7 last year for people to play straight through, but it went largely untouched (didn't even get out of Midgar!) so we're nixing that for this year.
2) Plasma TVs or Small TVs - As we learned last year, Plasma TVs lag. Lag = bad. None of that. Small TV's (<20") are also not cool enough for the Naka Game Room. Sorry.
3) Lots of non-Japanese games - Naka Kon is a Japanese convention. American games will be allowed, but only during overnight hours. Thus, I'll be looking for some games like Halo, but again, don't send me a huge list. And yes, I'm aware Guitar Hero/Rock Band aren't Japanese, but I'd probably get lynched if I didn't include them.

I require personal information such as Forum Name, an Email, Phone Number (preferably cell), Home Address. If you promise to bring something and don't show up, I need to be able to figure out what's going on. If something gets lost and we find it later, I need to know how to get it to you. I also require that you list every piece you bring. That means you don't just say "PS2". You need to say "PS2 + AV cables + Power Cord". Think of it as a "packing list" that I need to check off when I return everything.

I'll also need to know when you will be arriving at/leaving the con. If you're only going to be there one day, don't donate. It's not that we wouldn't appreciate it, it's just too hard for me to manually keep track of things coming and going all the time. Really. It's a pain. If you don't believe me, volunteer in the game room and I'll dump a load of it on you.

PLEASE make sure you have the game in your possession before promising it. I don't want another incident where someone promises to bring something they've loaned to a friend only to realize their friend sold/lost it when they try to get it back to bring it.

PLEASE show up. We can't have cool stuff if people that were supposed to bring it don't do so.

We have 2 PS2 Guitar Hero guitars and are planning on getting 2 good DDR pads. We'll look into extra budget for the drums and other equipment when we have a clear picture of what's being donated.

Feel free. PM is generally quicker since it shoots a notice to my regular Email (which I check 20+ times a day). Meanwhile, I only check the Naka Email 2-3 times a day.

If you want to use Guitar Hero or Rockband they most likely give the option to sing with Guitar 4 and 5

Emails will be sent out closer to the convention once all donations are in. The idea is that if someone is donating just 1-2 things and those things are donated by other people that are donating more, the people donating more will be asked to bring it. That way there's just a smaller total of people I need to get stuff back to.

At present, I'm still waiting for more donations and I'll sort out exactly who should bring what near the end of this month (which is when I have all the orders due for anything we need to purchase that no one can donate).

I'm trying to get people who are coming with me to donate. But they have one question that needs to be asked. What if what I donate gets broken at the convention? Can you help ease their minds so they will be willing to donate.
