*hobbles in and sits slowly, adjusting her cane across her legs* Ahem...Can someone get an old granny some water?
Anyway, a list for you, specifically because you requested it:
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (watch it, then pick up the manga. It's worth it.)
Grave of the Fireflies
Ronin Warriors / Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (my first love!)
Kimegure Orange Road ( <3<3<3<3<3<3 )
The Rose of Versailles
Project A-ko
Original Bubblegum Crisis (forego Crash. Really)
Megazone 23
Macross
Mobile Suite Gundam (original, War in the Pocket, Stardust Memory)
Dominion Tank Police
3x3 Eyes (manga's way, way, way better)
Riding Bean
Gunsmith Cats
Ranma 1/2
Urusei Yatsura
Lupin the 3rd
Dirty Pair (original)
Cutey Honey (original campy tv series)
Devilman (again...original)
Nadia: the Secret of Blue Water
AIM FOR THE TOP (a.k.a. Gunbuster)
Otaku no Video
Record of the Lodoss War
Iria: Zeiram
Space Battleship Yamato
Galaxy Express 999
Space Pirate Captain Harlock
Queen Emeraldas
And...if you want to spend countless hours and hours on the most beautiful gem of space operas ever made:
Legend of Galactic Heroes
I didn't actually research any of the dates, but I'm sure that all of these are at LEAST 10...if not 20 years old. 70's, 80's, some early nineties stuff in this list...before anime became really popular here in the US. I could be wrong on a few of them, but I tried to list only the ones that stuck out as older in my head. This is not, by any means, a comprehensive list, and many of my favorite anime aren't on this list because they fall into what I consider as Anime Middle-Age, not Old-Age. >_>
Security 2010
Shinigami!Orihime
2011:
Grandis Granva (Nadia) - ?
Takeba Yukari (P3) - ?
