Registration FAQ
How can I pay for at-door registration?
As of now, we will accept CASH ONLY. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please make sure to have cash ready before you come to the registration desk.
Attendees ages 18 and older must also present one of the following to purchase a badge:
- Driver's license
- Passport
- Military ID
- State photo ID
I pre-registered. What do I need to bring to pick up my badge?
Please bring the following documents with you to get through the pre-registration line as quickly as possible:
- Pre-registration confirmation e-mail
- For ages 18 and older, one of the following:
- Driver's license
- Passport
- Military ID
- State photo ID
- For ages 17 and younger, one of the above or one of the following:
- School photo ID
- Commercially published yearbook
- Birth certificate
- Have an adult show ID and sign a waiver of identity
All pre-registered attendees must bring ID regardless of age.
My friend asked me to pick up/purchase their badge. What do I need to bring?
You may pick up pre-registration badges for other people with both of the following:
- Friend's pre-registration confirmation e-mail
- Front and back photocopy of friend's ID (see above for acceptable IDs)
To purchase badges for friends at kon, just bring a front and back photocopy of their ID.
Are there group registration specials available?
Group discounts will be available for pre-registration only. For groups of 7 or more people, the discount will be $5 off the price of an individual adult badge ($25 for early pre-registration and $30 for late pre-registration).
I pre-registered with a group. What do I need to bring to pick up group badges?
Group members may pick up their own badges individually with pre-registration documents, or the group leader may pick up badges for group members.
Group leaders must present one of the following to pick up a group's badges:
- Group pre-registration confirmation e-mail
- Front and back photocopy of attendee’s ID (see above for acceptable IDs)
I have 6 people (or less) in my group. Can I still get a group discount?
No. Group discounts are only available for 7 people or more.
How does group registration work?
Groups may register etiher online or via mail. For mail-in, please use this form to fill out the badge information and select mail-in when it asks for a payment method.
When are the deadlines for pre-registration?
Early pre-registration will be available until November 30, 2009. Late pre-registration will be available until January 12, 2010.
After January 12, 2010 badges may only be purchased at the convention which is February 19-21, 2010.

How much is registration?

What are the different levels of pricing?
- Attendees under 6 have free admission.
- Attendees 6 to 12 may purchase a child badge.
- Attendees 13 and older must purchase an adult badge.
- Group rates are available for groups of 7 or more adults.
How can I pay for pre-registration?
PayPal and Credit Cards will be accepted for online pre-registration.
Checks or money orders will be accepted for mail-in pre-registration. We will not accept cash.
Are there transaction fees for online registration?
No. You do not have to pay any additional fees for online registration.
Why aren't the badges cheaper?
Each badge allows the holder to experience a full weekend or full day of activities and events. Professional sporting and entertainment events with similar or higher prices may only last two to three hours, and not have as wide a spectrum of activities. In addition, all badge purchases go directly to funding the convention to pay for hotel space, purchasing panel and event equipment, and accommodating special guests. Badge costs for each year are based on the cost of running the convention and the number of people expected to attend. To save a few dollars, we highly recommend pre-registering.
All I really want to go to is the [place your choice of event/area here]. Can I just pay for that and not pay for the full badge?
No. This would cause many challenges in both the production and operation of the convention. We understand that the value of a badge and what one can get out of it will change from person to person. However, we highly recommend that you attend other panels and events. You may be pleasantly surprised by what you find.
I already bought my badge, but I can't make it to Naka-Kon! Can I get a refund?
No. All sales are final and we do not offer refunds no matter the reason. Although purchasing pre-registration badges does save you money, we recommend that you wait to purchase the badge until you are sure that your schedule and finances will work out for that weekend.
