Murata Tam is a popular Japanese drummer who, with only 18 energy-filled videos posted to YouTube, has already garnered over 10 million views! Her popularity earned her a gig drumming for the band SORAMIMI, as well as the distinction of a completely sold-out solo drumming concert at the TSUTAYA O-CREST live music venue!
You may know Murata Tam for her time drumming for the band SORAMIMI, or for her continued solo work behind the kit and in the spotlight. Recently, she made headlines performing her second solo concert at the TSUTAYA O-WEST venue, which featured a special duet with the drumming mascot Nyango Star. This whimsical collaboration was recorded and broadcast on stations such as Mezamashi Television and Wide Show, marking Murata Tam’s first television appearance.
The young star is now a monthly guest on the national music news show “MUSIC B.B.”, has appeared at an all-female rock festival in collaboration with singer Kahoru Kohiruimaki, and has performed with the idol group The World Standard as their drummer.
Murata Tam’s first solo mini-album, Innocent, was released in September.
