Hello Nakama!

As a reminder we are requiring proof of full COVID vaccination or a COVID test within 72 hours of picking up your badge.

Up-to-date COVID vaccination status per guidelines means THREE total vaccines for Pfizer and Moderna (2 base vaccines and 1 booster) and TWO total vaccines for Johnson & Johnson (1 base vaccine and 1 booster). This applies to all attendees 12 and older. Little attendees from 5 to 11 do not need the booster.

What about when is the vendor hall, registration, or prop checks open? We now have our convention hours for different services available on our Convention Hours Page.

To ensure Naka-Kon can keep bringing you some of the best of what Japan has to offer. Half of the ticket price goes directly to our general fund (convention and outreach). The other half is put into a pile that grows with every ticket sold until our drawing on April 29, 2022, the start of Japan’s Golden Week.

Only attendees 12 years of age or older are required to have the booster under our policy. For children aged 5-11, they will be considered fully vaccinated under our policy so long as they have completed the base course of the vaccine.

If we don’t reach $100,000, does that mean Naka-Kon 2022 is canceled?

Absolutely not! We’re still on board and set for a stellar 2022 show. While we’ve got an attendee cap as well as some changes in programming, we’re still going to have a full schedule with a lot of your favorite Naka-Kon events such as the dance party, cosplay contest, charity ball, and ticketed events.

Then why do you need so much?

Greetings, Nakama — for those who are still awaiting rollover codes, we apologize that we were not able to send all the codes by the December 31 deadline we posted last week. Unfortunately, the staff member leading the effort had to temporarily step away to take care of unexpected personal matters. We all wish that staffer well.

Here is where we stand with registration as of today, January 5, 2022:

Greetings, Nakama — We hope everyone's holiday season is off to a great start. As we reflect, we are very thankful for all the people involved in making Naka-Kon possible each year and the support to celebrate Japanese pop culture and art.

Today, we have an important message that we would like to share with everyone. To be candid, the permanent closure of Naka-Kon is a real possibility that we are facing.
