Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center

Convention Hotel:
Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center.

Once again, we are pleased that the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel will be the main Kon Hotel for Naka-Kon attendees. Offering freshly redesigned accommodations and amenitites, the Sheraton is directly connected to the Overland Park Convention Center.

Why Stay at the Kon Hotel?

Because it is in the middle of everything! It is close to convention activities so you don't have to drive home, even if you stay up all night. Food is close by too, so you don't need to drive to eat. Also, Naka-Kon guests who stay at the Sheraton can participate in our complimentary Kon Supporter program.
Finally, you should stay at the convention's hotel because it helps the convention. Hotels discount the cost for the convention's space rental based on how many rooms are booked by convention attendees.

How to Pay for Your Room

When you check in to the hotel, you will be asked for security. If you give them a credit card it will be charged with the full amount plus a deposit. This money is 'held' on the card by the bank. If you wish to pay with cash or traveler's checks, give them to the clerk when you check in. If you do not give the clerk a new credit card or pay for the room with another method, the hotel will charge the fee to the card you provided to reserve the room. The hotel will not take a personal check.

Room Cancellations

If you can not attend the convention and must cancel your reservation, you will not be charged for the room if you cancel at least two days prior to check-in. If you do not call and cancel, then the card you used to reserve the room will be charged for one night.

Quiet Floor Requests

Attendees can request a quiet floor when they make a reservation. Placement on a quiet floor is not guaranteed.

Room Parties

Naka-Kon does not register, monitor, or otherwise endorse room parties. Any disturbances reported at the Sheraton will be investigated and handled by the hotel.
