Takayoshi Tanimoto debuted as a singer in 2001 with the song “One Vision” for the anime Digimon Tamers. Since then he has contributed songs for numerous anime, games, and TV commercials. He has engaged in multiple live tours and appeared at large music festivals such as Animelo Summer Live 2014 and Choeiyusai 2015-2017. He also performs at yearly events in unique venues such as shopping malls and theme parks throughout Japan. With a wide variety of popular anime songs under his belt, Tanimoto has gathered quite the diverse fanbase.
Tanimoto is passionate about reaching out to anime, game, and music fans and actively performs at concerts and events around the globe. In 2011 the global star toured 4 countries in South America, in 2012 he performed at Metrocon in Florida, in 2015 he was part of the ASCOT Asia Tour, and in 2016 he expanded even further, performing in over 10 countries!
In April 2014, Tanimoto recorded “Kuu・Zen・Zetsu・Go”, the opening theme of the Majin Buu arc of the well-known anime Dragon Ball Z Kai. He followed up this successful release with a full album titled THE BEST ELEMENTS in 2015 - three songs from which were included in the special album Dragon Ball Anime 30th Anniversary: Dragon Ball Kami BEST in 2016.
In addition to his work at the front of the stage, the multi-talented artist also possesses many music production credits, including lyrics for “Keep your style” from Prince of Tennis, music for “Izayoi Namida” from Anime Hakuōki, and music for “Lets! Zyuodance” from Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. If that weren’t enough, Tanimoto also produces and writes music in other genres including environmental music, theater music, and traditional Japanese music. He has even written melodies for train stations in Japan!

Q1. Who was your favorite hero when you were a child?
Ultraman and Spiderman.
Q2. If you were an anime character who would you be?
Lupin III - I don’t believe I am like him, but he is a character that I aspire to be like.
Q3. If you can time travel and meet yourself back when you were a child, what will you tell him/her?
I actually would like to leave him alone.
