Sew a Japanese Knot Bag

Join the head pattern maker of CUT/SEW in this workshop inspired by traditional Japanese furoshiki knotting! We’ll be making a “knot bag”, or a simple tote bag with a knot closure, perfect for small items like phones, cosmetics, or trinkets picked up at the con. Learn the history of Japanese sewing and bag making while working in a cozy, relaxed environment. All students will take home their finished bag and  printed instructions for how to recreate the project at home. Students should have completed at least one basic sewing project prior to this course and be familiar with sewing machines.
