Below is a list of badge types, age requirements, prices, and purchase deadline dates.
Please note that badge prices increase as we get closer to the convention dates. Also, please be aware that we will have an attendance cap of 12,000 people. Purchasing a badge in advance ensures your ability to attend Naka-Kon 2019. We will not overbook, so members who have pre-registered will be admitted.

VIP Memberships for 2020 are now sold out.
A VIP Sponsor Membership includes all of the benefits of a regular attendee badge to attend all events. In addition, for their support of Naka-Kon, VIP members will get the following benefits:
- Express registration badge pick-up.
- First in line for most panels/events.
- A special badge and lanyard to show your support for Naka-Kon.
- Exclusive early access to the Vendor Room 30 minutes before regular attendees for Friday & Saturday.
- Free Convention T-Shirt.
- A special gift bag with assorted goodies and swag.
- Access to the Kon Suite.
- Admission to one of the convention’s ticketed events of their choice (subject to availability).
A valid Eventbrite ticket with QR code, either printed or on a mobile device, must be presented in order to pick up badges. Only 100 VIP Memberships are available, and sales will end Jan. 12, 2020, or when we are sold out.
Weekend Membership badges are for attendees ages 13 and older. This membership grants access all three days to the Vendor Room, panels, workshops and more! This does not include ticketed events (i.e. Charity Ball, Maid Cafe, Lolita Tea, etc.). A valid Eventbrite ticket with QR code, either printed or on a mobile device, must be presented in order to pick up badges. See list below for prices and deadlines.
School Groups and other non-profit organizations who wish to participate in the Educational Discount Program, must apply to participate in the program here.
Clubs and organizations who qualify to participate, will be notified and provided with a special registration link.
Group Weekend Membership badges are for groups of seven or more attendees, ages 13 and older. This membership grants access all three days to the Vendor Room, panels, workshops and more! This does not include ticketed events (i.e. Charity Ball, Maid Cafe, Lolita Tea, etc.). Each group member must pick up their own individual badge using the regular Will Call line. Group leaders must provide valid, working email addresses for each member of the group so that group members will receive their Eventbrite confirmation for check-in.
Naka-Kon will not bundle badges for group registrations, except for pre-approved clubs or organization (See Group Registration).

Naka-Kon offers a special military discount for active, reserve, retired or disabled veterans on the purchase of weekend badges. The discount is NOT applicable to dependents or other family. The discount is only for the badge for the individual service member.
The price for Weekend Badges purchased with the Military Discount is $35. Those who qualify for the Military Discount can purchase a badge online, then bring valid id (see below) to the Registration Solutions Desk in Exhibit Hall A to confirm eligibility to purchase at the discounted rate. Because of legal restrictions on making copies of military id badges, please do not send copies or scans of your documents.
Attendees must present one of the valid IDs listed below to receive the discount:
- Active Duty Military ID card with a picture.
- A Retired Military ID card with a picture.
- VA Card (Department of Veterans Affairs) — MUST have the words SERVICE CONNECTED under picture.
- Disabled Veterans should have a Veteran’s Identification Card (VIC) that is given to them from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. The VIC and their Driver’s License should be sufficient identification to get the Military Discount.
Weekend Child membership badges are for children ages 6-12 years old. This membership grants access all three days to the Vendors Room, panels, workshops and more! This does not include ticketed events (i.e. Charity Ball, Maid Cafe, Lolita Tea, etc.). - The cutoff date for sales of VIP Memberships will be Jan. 12, 2020, or when all memberships have been sold.
- The cutoff date for sales of Weekend Badge: Group Discount: Tier 4 memberships will be March 11, 2020.
Children ages 12 and under must be escorted by an adult badgeholder (age 18 or older) at all times. The adult escort must be present at registration to pick up child badge.
Children ages 5 and under are admitted free.
At-Kon Badge Sales
Membership badges will also be on sale at the Registration Sales tables during the convention, which will be located in Exhibit Hall A of the Overland Park Covention Center. We will accept cash, credit cards or debit cards. No personal checks will be accepted. Those who plan to buy with a credit or debit card should consider purchasing their badges online. Those who buy badges online can be processed much quicker by our registration staff and will spend less time waiting in line.
Single Day Badges
Single Day Badges are not available online before 9:30 p.m. the night before the badge will be used. Day badges can also be purchased at the convention on the day the badge will be used. Day badges will also be subject to availability. Day badges include one-day access to panels, concerts, the exhibit hall, anime screenings, game room, dance party and more. Some events, such as the Maid Cafe, Charity Ball and other require special tickets that are not covered in the badge fee.

To reduce the amount of time you have to stand in line, we recommend to register in advance online. Online pre-registrations can be processed much more quickly than at-Kon paper registrations.
All sales are final and we do not offer refunds no matter the reason. Although purchasing pre-registration badges does save you money, we recommend that you wait to purchase the badge until you are sure that your schedule and finances will work out for that weekend.
If you cannot attend the convention, and would like to transfer your badge to someone else, you must complete a badge transfer form. The form must be mailed no later than midnight of February 22, 2020. You can also scan the form and send it as an e-mail attachment to email@example.com. This form must be on file before the new owner will be considered valid. No badge transfers can be accepted after February 22.
Your badge is valuable and it is your responsibility to keep it secure. Naka-Kon will not refund or replace badges that are lost or stolen. Attendees who lose their badges must purchase a replacement badge to re-enter the convention.
