How to Pick Up Your Naka-Kon Badge

Each year, as attendance numbers at Naka-Kon increase, we look for ways to reduce the amount of time attendees must spend in registration lines. Below are some tips for how to take advantage of our new registration system and pick up your Naka-Kon badge in the least amount of time possible.

Three Ways to Purchase a Naka-Kon Badge

The Fastest Way
Pre-Register Online &
Pay with a Credit Card

If you have pre-registered and paid online at our Eventbrite page, your information is in our system.

  • Bring your Eventbrite confirmation/ticket to the Will Call TableYou can bring your confirmation printed on paper or on your phone.
  • We will scan the QR code on your confirmation to check you in and then give you your badge.
  • Pick up a lanyard for your badge, a free program book and schedule as you exit.
  • Have fun at the convention!

The Fast Way
Pre-Register Online &
Select "Pay at the Door"

If you plan to pay with cash, go to our Eventbrite page and enter your registration information using the online form.

By using this method, you enter your information into the registration system in advance, so you can skip filling out a paper form at the convention.

Note: the "Pay at the Door" feature will become available on our Eventbrite page on the morning of Thursday, March 9.

  • Select the "Pay at Door" payment option when you select the payment method on Eventbrite.
  • Bring your Eventbrite confirmation/ticket to Exhibit Hall A, and look for the Sales lines.
    There will be an express lane for people who bring in an Eventbrite receipt printed our or on their phone.
  • At the Sales Table, we will scan the QR code on your confirmation to check you in, and then take your payment.
    You may pay with check or credit card. No personal checks. For credit card transactions, a $2 processing fee will be added.
  • Pick up a lanyard for your badge, a free program book and schedule as you exit.
  • Have fun at the convention!

The Third Way:
Complete a Paper
Registration Form at the Kon

Paper registration forms will be available for those who choose not to register in advance online

  • Go the Sales line and fill a paper registration form. The forms will be on clipboards, so you can fill it out as you stand in line. (This will help prevent creating a traffic jam at the form table.)
  • Take the completed form to the Sales Table, where our staff will enter your registration information into our system. Because this method involves the attendee taking the time to fill out a form by hand, and the registration staff typing that information into the system, this method is going to inherently take more time than the first two methods.
  • After the information is entered, a registration staff member will take your payment. You may pay with check or credit card. No personal checks. For credit card transactions, a $2 processing fee will be added.
  • As you exit, pick up a lanyard for your badge, a free program book and a schedule.
  • Have fun at the convention!
 

Registering Online

For the first time, online registration this year will be available throughout the convention. That means you can buy your badge on Friday before you leave for the convention center and head straight to Will Call!

If you haven't bought a badge yet, you should buy your badge online instead of waiting to fill out a paper form at the convention. With our new system, pre-registration lines are going to move faster than ever.

We are also expanding online sales to include day badges! That’s right – now you can buy single-day badges online. In addition, we will make day badges available at 9:30 p.m. CST the night before — so Friday day badges will be available at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, etc. One-day badges can still be purchased at the Sales Table in person, but as with weekend badges, buying online will be much faster!
