Self taught in a variety of mediums, Diana's efforts and cosplays are geared to empower others, educate, promote diversity and representation, and show that cosplay truly is for everyone, regardless of age and skill.

Philip Odango of Canvas Cosplay is an award-winning cosplayer and designer who has crafted costumes for celebrities such as Mindy Kaling and Danny Trejo, and whose videos have amassed millions of streams on YouTube. Philip began cosplaying in 2005 and has since been an invited guest, presenter and cosplay contest judge all over the world.

We are excited to announce that musical guests DANTZ and Ray Kirk will appear at Naka-Kon 2023! DANTZ is one of Japan's most influential DJs and producers and has performed in clubs and music festivals worldwide. Ray Kirk is a multicultural rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer who has worked with some of the top artists in Japan and the US. In 2019, DANTZ and Ray Kirk teamed up to launch the music label lemon soda music to help Asian artists cross over globally.

Welcome Zeno Robinson! Zeno is an actor residing in Los Angeles, California. Zeno began his acting journey in middle school, and after taking a program called “All About Kids”, signed with CESD Talent. He would gain his professional voiceover start soon after as “Alan Albright” in Ben 10 Alien Force at 14 years old, and has since studied under industry pioneers such as Charlie Adler, Tony Gonzales, Kris Zimmerman, Phil Lamarr, Ginny McSwain, and Tony Oliver.

Clifford Chapin is known for his roles in anime and video games, such as Ichijo Takayanagi from Red Data Girl, Connie Springer from Attack on Titan, Shingo Wakamoto from Prison School, Kukulkan in Smite, Hideyoshi Nagachika from Tokyo Ghoul, Yuri Dreyar from Fairy Tail, and Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia. Chapin won the VNs Now award Best Male VA of 2013 for his role of David Sawicki in Yousei by Sakevisual.

Hello my favorite idols! It's time to apply for 2023 Sunflower Idol Festival at Naka-Kon!
Since we had such a high volume of applications last year we are changing the format from first-come-first-served to portfolio submissions. Please make sure to carefully read the requirements before sending in your application. The submission period will be open until February 15th. Final decisions will be announced on Saturday March 4th. Keep an eye out on the email you provided. I can't wait to see your talented selves!

Hopefully, everyone is bundling up warm with all this cold weather that is coming. We know everyone has been waiting to know what our COVID policy would be for Naka-Kon 2023.
Naka-Kon has decided that based on current and projected post-holiday COVID rates, flu rates, RSV rates, and trends with other convention policies leading up to Spring 2023, we will continue to require masks at the convention. We will no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative test to pick up badges or attend Naka-Kon.

Hello, Nakama! We hope everyone’s holiday season is off to a great start. Today, we have updates to share as we prepare for next year’s convention scheduled on May 26-28, 2023, Memorial Day weekend.
First, we are excited to announce that our theme for next year's convention is 雲鶴 ・Resilience. The kanji 雲鶴, pronounced “unkaku,”means good fortune, longevity, and happiness.
